Strong Jú
Strong Jú (#972A0D) is a deep red with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Old English strang, firm, vigorous — applied to color since the sixteenth century. Strong red, strong tea: a color at full strength is the maximum saturation the medium can produce. The Chinese name for the mandarin orange — Citrus reticulata — cultivated in southern China for at least four thousand years. Jú-zǐ (mandarin-fruit) appears in Tang-dynasty poetry as a symbol of autumn abundance and homesickness.
