Resolute Shikon
Resolute Shikon (#9355CA) is a true indigo with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Etymology
From the Latin resolutus, unwavering — used as a color modifier in literary contexts for hues that read as committed and unmoving. Japanese 紫根, gromwell root (Lithospermum erythrorhizon) — the purple-root dye source for traditional Japanese murasaki and the medicinal-herb base for the eponymous shikon ointment used in burn treatment. Shikon color refers to a freshly harvested Lithospermum erythrorhizon root cross-section: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of fresh root dye on hand-spun silk.
