Radiant Rush

From the Latin radiare, to emit rays — used as a color word since the seventeenth century for hues that read as luminous and emitting. The genus Juncus — wetland sedge-family plants whose hollow green stems were used historically for rushlights (torches dipped in tallow) and traditional weaving.
