Lurid Variscite
Lurid Variscite (#87BE0D) is a true lime with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin lūridus, pale-yellow / sickly — sharing root with lūror (yellowish-pallor). The color refers to a polished variscite cabochon: a soft, slightly muted yellow-green with the matte finish of opaque mineral. Cooler than prehnite.
