Printed Tansy

Latin premere, to press — past-participle of print. Tanacetum vulgare, the European composite-family perennial whose tight clusters of small yellow button-flowers were traditionally used as a strewing herb and insect repellent. The color refers to a fresh tansy bloom: a saturated, slightly green-shifted yellow with the matte finish of small clustered florets. Cooler than coltsfoot.
