Gallant Kikyo

Japanese 桔梗, the balloon flower (Platycodon grandiflorus) — a wild perennial of Japanese mountainsides whose star-shaped corolla unfurls from an inflated bud. The flower is one of the Seven Autumn Flowers of classical waka poetry.
