Refulgent Cōng
Refulgent Cōng (#81B701) is a true lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Latin refulgēns, shining-back — present-participle of refulgere, sharing root with fulgor (lightning). As a color modifier, refulgent implies a saturated-and-reflective-shining quality, the bright color of polished-bronze-and-armor reflective-surface mid-day-sun reflection. Sits at the bright-and-saturated end of the grid, parallel to effulgent and resplendent in usage.
The Chinese word for scallion — and the bright yellow-green of fresh-cut scallion stalks. Cōnglǜ refers to the saturated lime-green of Chinese cooking and traditional textile color. The color refers to a fresh-sliced scallion: a saturated, slightly yellow-shifted green with the satin finish of cut allium tissue.
