Greek néon, new — element-name (atomic-number 10), discovered by William Ramsay in 1898. Sits at the bright-and-electric end of the grid, parallel to electric and fluorescent in usage.

Genever color refers to a fresh-poured jonge genever in a tulip glass: a soft, slightly cool pale green-yellow with the optical clarity of malt-wine-and-juniper spirit.
