Thunderous Tulum
Thunderous Tulum (#7E015D) is a deep magenta with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Old English thunor, thunder — adjectival suffix -ous, sharing root with German Donner and Old Norse Þórr (Thor). Tulum color refers to a Tulum-period Mayan mural-fragment from the Templo de los Frescos: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the matte finish of cochineal-and-cinnabar pigment on lime-plaster wall.
