Burnt Rust (#7A2A01) is a deep orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. The past participle of burn used as a color modifier — most familiar in burnt sienna and burnt umber, the pigments produced by firing raw earth pigments to deepen and warm them.
