Wired Apple
Wired Apple (#74BC00) is a true lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English wīr, wire — past-participle of wire. As a color modifier, wired implies a saturated-and-electrical-charged-and-active quality, the bright color of Tesla-coil-and-Van-de-Graaff high-voltage atmospheric-electrical emission. Sits at the bright-and-active end of the grid, parallel to charged and electrified in usage.
Malus domestica, the temperate fruit selected from a wild ancestor in the Tian Shan mountains of Kazakhstan. The color refers to a green apple cultivar like Granny Smith or Crispin: a clean, slightly yellow-shifted green with the polished surface of waxed fruit.
