Fresh Kihachijō
Fresh Kihachijō (#73B6FA) is a soft azure with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Quiet and dependable, a fit for product UI and data visualization. Its HSL profile (210°, 93%, 72%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. The traditional indigo-dyed silk of Hachijō island in Tokyo's southern archipelago — produced from native kobaicha (yellow-brown) and aogarami (deep blue) dyes since at least the eighteenth century. Kihachijō-iro refers to the saturated medium blue of the silk: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the satin finish of plant-dyed island silk.
