Thunderous Sriracha (#732C0A) is a deep orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (19°, 84%, 25%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English thunor, thunder — adjectival suffix -ous, sharing root with German Donner and Old Norse Þórr (Thor). As a color modifier, thunderous implies a deep-and-rumbling-and-imposing-cool quality, the dark cool-gray of cumulonimbus-tower-base storm-cloud directly overhead.
