Bold Erythrite (#6B20A1) is a true indigo with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (275°, 67%, 38%) places it in the balanced band at a mid lightness. Old English beald, brave, courageous — a quality word that crossed over to color in the late seventeenth century. Erythrite color refers to a freshly fractured Schneeberg erythrite crystal cluster: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of acicular hydrated cobalt-arsenate crystals. Named for the Greek erythros (red), though the mineral is purple-violet.
