Open Lepidolite (#6556AA) is a true indigo with an earthy character. It leans grounded and natural, the kind of color that plays well with wood, clay, linen, and warm neutrals. Old English open, unobstructed — used as a color modifier since the eighteenth century for hues that read as airy or uncrowded. Lepidolite color refers to a Newry lepidolite booklet on its native pegmatite matrix: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-violet with the silvery finish of foliated mica with lithium-substitution-induced violet coloration in the cleavage planes.
