Truthful Hazel
Truthful Hazel (#635001) is a deep amber with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (48°, 98%, 20%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English trēowth, truth — adjectival suffix -ful. As a color modifier, truthful implies a clear-and-honest-and-direct quality where the hue carries the visual register of accurate-and-faithful-representation declaration. The tree Corylus avellana and its nut, but as a color name hazel refers most often to the human eye — an iris that combines low pigment with light scatter to produce a warm, slightly amber gold-brown.
