Established Moegi
Established Moegi (#5A8017) is a deep lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (82°, 70%, 30%) places it in the balanced band at a dark lightness. It works well as a headline, icon, or deep background in an otherwise light layout, pairing cleanly with cream, bone, and warm neutrals. Etymology
Latin stabilīre, to make stable — past-participle of establish. As a color modifier, established implies a saturated-and-rooted quality where the hue carries the weight of long-standing visual presence. Sits at the bold-and-firm end of the grid, parallel to steadfast and anchored in usage.
Japanese for sprouting yellow — the yellow-green of Carex sedge sprouts and rice seedlings. Moegi-iro is one of the seasonal colors of the Heian-period kasane layered-kimono palette, worn during the spring planting season. The color refers to fresh moegi sprouts in a paddy: a saturated, slightly yellow yellow-green with the matte finish of small fresh leaves.
