Neon Mojito
Neon Mojito (#4AB003) is a true lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (95°, 97%, 35%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary indigo. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel.
Etymology
Greek néon, new — element-name (atomic-number 10), discovered by William Ramsay in 1898. As a color modifier, neon implies a saturated-and-electric-glow quality, the bright color of Las-Vegas-and-Times-Square neon-marquee gas-discharge-tube emission. Sits at the bright-and-electric end of the grid, parallel to electric and fluorescent in usage.
The Cuban cocktail of rum, lime, mint, sugar, and soda — popularized by Hemingway in Old Man and the Sea settings. Mojito color refers to a fresh-shaken mojito with crushed mint: a soft, slightly cool yellow-green with the optical clarity of muddled-herb-and-spirits.
