Prismatic Variscite (#43C12A) is a true green with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Greek prísma, prism — adjectival suffix -ic. Sits at the bright-and-shifting end of the grid, parallel to iridescent and spectral in usage.

The color refers to a polished variscite cabochon: a soft, slightly muted yellow-green with the matte finish of opaque mineral. Cooler than prehnite.
