Shielded Endive
Shielded Endive (#3B7C08) is a deep lime with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Old English scild, shield — past-participle of shield, sharing root with German Schild. Cichorium endivia, the slightly bitter European chicory cultivated as a salad green since Egyptian times. The color refers to the inner leaves of a head of curly endive or escarole: a soft, slightly yellow-shifted green with the matte finish of dewy lettuce.
