Chinese 黑灰, black-gray — the formal Chinese color name for the deep-charcoal-gray band, used in Qing-dynasty court-and-ritual textiles. Hēihuī color refers to a Qing-dynasty hēihuī-dyed silk magisterial robe: a dark gray with the silk luster of multi-bath fermentation-and-iron-mordant dye on tussah silk.
