Latin praetōriānus, of the praetor — adjectival suffix, referring to the Roman-Imperial elite guard-cohorts. A calcium sulfate mineral — the anhydrous form of gypsum — sometimes occurring in saturated deep-blue varieties known as Angelite or Blue Anhydrite. Mined principally in Peru.
