Buzzed Curaçao
Buzzed Curaçao (#2ECAF0) is a true cyan with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (192°, 87%, 56%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Imitative-onomatopoeic origin — past-participle of buzz, evoking the sound of bee-hum. As a color modifier, buzzed implies a saturated-and-vibrating-and-active quality, the bright color of insect-pollinator and neon-lamp low-amplitude-buzz visual-vibration. Sits at the bright-and-active end of the grid, parallel to jazzed and wired in usage.
The Caribbean liqueur made from the dried peel of the Citrus aurantium currassuviensis (Laraha orange) — produced on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao since 1896. Blue Curaçao refers to the artificially-colored bright blue variant: a saturated, slightly cool electric blue with the optical clarity of citrus liqueur.
