Crepuscular Brioche
Crepuscular Brioche (#2D1B03) is a deep orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (34°, 88%, 9%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Latin crepusculāris, of twilight — derived from crepusculum (twilight). As a color modifier, crepuscular implies the deep blue-violet darkness of civil-twilight period between sunset and nightfall. Sits at the deep-and-cool end of the grid, where the hue carries the Belt of Venus atmospheric-scattering quality of clear-sky horizon at dusk.
The French enriched bread — egg- and butter-rich dough that produces a soft, golden, slightly sweet loaf used in brioche à tête, pain au lait, and kouign-amann. The color refers to the inside of a freshly baked brioche: a soft, slightly warm pale yellow with the matte finish of egg-rich crumb.
