Lionhearted Sequoia
Lionhearted Sequoia (#2B8107) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (102°, 90%, 27%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Old English lēona-heorte, lion's-heart — referring to Richard I Lionheart (1157–1199). Sequoiadendron giganteum, the giant sequoia of the Sierra Nevada — the largest living tree species on Earth by volume. Sequoia color refers to mature sequoia needle foliage: a deep, slightly cool dark green with the matte finish of scale-leaf conifer foliage.
