Strobing Ābī (#29E0E6) is a true cyan with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Its HSL profile (182°, 79%, 53%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Greek stróbos, whirling — present-participle of strobe. As a color modifier, strobing implies a saturated-and-pulse-flashing quality, the bright color of concert-strobe-light and photographic-strobe high-frequency-pulse light emission. Sits at the bright-and-flashing end of the grid, parallel to flashing and pulsating in usage.
The Persian word for water-colored (from āb, water) — used for the saturated turquoise-blue of Iranian tile and the ābī glaze of Safavid pottery. The color refers to a polished ābī tile from Isfahan's Imam Mosque: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-green with the high gloss of fired faience.
