Loud Maui
Loud Maui (#27F1AC) is a true teal with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (160°, 88%, 55%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary red. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel.

Old English hlūd, making noise — borrowed metaphorically as a color word since the nineteenth century. Loud red, loud yellow: a color so saturated it announces itself without needing surrounding context. Sits in the bright-bucket extreme alongside electric and striking. Carries a slightly pejorative implication of excess.
The Hawaiian island — and the saturated turquoise of Maui's Molokini Crater snorkeling-lagoon water. Maui refers to Molokini Crater at midday: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-green with the optical clarity of cold Pacific water filtered through volcanic black-sand and white coral.
