Strobing Curaçao
Strobing Curaçao (#24ACE7) is a true cyan with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Its HSL profile (198°, 80%, 52%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Greek stróbos, whirling — present-participle of strobe. As a color modifier, strobing implies a saturated-and-pulse-flashing quality, the bright color of concert-strobe-light and photographic-strobe high-frequency-pulse light emission. Sits at the bright-and-flashing end of the grid, parallel to flashing and pulsating in usage.
The Caribbean liqueur made from the dried peel of the Citrus aurantium currassuviensis (Laraha orange) — produced on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao since 1896. Blue Curaçao refers to the artificially-colored bright blue variant: a saturated, slightly cool electric blue with the optical clarity of citrus liqueur.
