Crisp Manganite
Crisp Manganite (#200021) is a deep violet with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (298°, 100%, 6%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin crispus, curled — drifted in English from the curled hair sense to fresh and clean. γ-MnO(OH) manganese hydroxide-oxide mineral — a deep-black orthorhombic mineral mined principally at Ilfeld in Germany and Negaunee in Michigan. Manganite color refers to a freshly cleaved Ilfeld manganite prismatic-cluster face: a saturated, slightly cool deep black with the metallic finish of orthorhombic manganese-hydroxide-oxide. One of the principal ores of manganese metal, also a steel-alloy and dry-cell-battery component.
