Coruscating Artemisia (#19FEC7) is a true teal with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Latin coruscāns, flashing — present-participle of coruscāre. As a color modifier, coruscating implies a saturated-and-rapidly-flashing quality, the bright color of lightning-strike atmospheric-electrical-discharge against the night-sky. The genus Artemisia — sage-and-wormwood-and-mugwort relatives whose silver-green leaves define Mediterranean dry-garden landscaping. The color refers to a fresh Artemisia ludoviciana cultivated in a Provençal garden: a soft, slightly cool gray-green with the matte velvet finish of pubescent silver leaf.
