Hygienic Polar (#175D81) is a deep azure with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Greek hygieinós, healthful — derived from Hygieia (goddess of health). Sits at the crisp-and-clean end of the grid, parallel to sanitary and sterile in usage.
Of the polar — the ice caps and the meltwater seas at the high latitudes.
