Easy Marakat (#135A1F) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Etymology
Old French aisié, comfortable, at rest — used as a color modifier since the eighteenth century for hues that read as visually undemanding. Easy beige, easy gray: moderate saturation combined with optical restfulness. Sits at the crisp-bucket center alongside calm and settled.
The Sanskrit word for emerald — used in Vedic and Mughal jewelry vocabulary for the saturated deep green of fine emeralds. Marakat gave the Greek smaragdus and ultimately English emerald. The color refers to a faceted Mughal-period Colombian emerald: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the gem's signature internal life.
