Phosphoric Lánsè (#12EBE0) is a true cyan with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (177°, 86%, 50%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Greek phōsphóros, light-bringer — adjectival suffix -ic. The Chinese word for blue — combining lán (blue) and sè (color). Used for the blue of Ming-dynasty porcelain underglaze, lán-bù (denim), and the deep blue of imperial banners. The color refers to fresh-painted lán-bù cotton: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the matte finish of indigo-and-cotton.
