Stripped Polar
Stripped Polar (#119CCD) is a true cyan with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Its HSL profile (196°, 85%, 44%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary orange. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel.

Old English stripian, to strip — past-participle of strip. As a color modifier, stripped implies a clear-and-bared-and-unornamented quality, the crisp color of Cistercian-and-Bauhaus anti-ornamental stripped-down architectural interior. Sits at the crisp-and-stripped end of the grid, parallel to spare and bare in usage.
Of the polar — the ice caps and the meltwater seas at the high latitudes. The color refers to polar sea ice on a clear day at the height of summer melt: a soft, slightly green-shifted very pale blue with the optical brightness of bubble-rich ice. Lighter than glacier, cooler than frost, with the climatological weight of a region whose color is rapidly disappearing.
