Stately Uvarovite
Stately Uvarovite (#087117) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (129°, 87%, 24%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
An adjectival form of state, condition of dignity. Used as a color modifier since the seventeenth century for the deep saturated jewel tones of formal ceremony — the deep blue of a robes-of-state, the deep red of a state-banquet velvet. Sits in the bold-and-formal corner alongside imperial and royal, with slightly less institutional weight.
A chromium-rich green garnet — mined principally in the Russian Urals, Finland, and Quebec. Named for Russian Count Sergei Semenovich Uvarov. The color refers to drusy uvarovite crystals on chromite matrix: a saturated, slightly cool deep emerald-green with the gem's signature internal fire.
