Spick Mar
Spick Mar (#05ADA5) is a true cyan with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Old Norse spik-spakr, spike-new — sharing root with spic-and-span. The Catalan and Spanish word for sea — used in Mar Menor (Spanish), Mar de la Tranquilidad, and the saturated blue-green of Iberian Mediterranean coast. The color refers to the Mar Cantábrico off northern Spain at sunset: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-green with the optical depth of cold Atlantic water.
