Composed Wakana
Composed Wakana (#05AC00) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (118°, 100%, 34%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
The past participle of compose, to arrange together — used as a color modifier for hues that read as deliberate and balanced. Japanese for young greens — the soft yellow-green of early-spring foraged plants used in the nanakusa-no-sekku (seven-herb festival) on January 7. The color refers to a fresh wakana sprig in a winter Kyoto garden: a soft, slightly muted yellow-green with the matte finish of small early-season leaves.
