Greek ékleipsis, abandonment — past-participle of eclipse. Trigonella foenum-graecum, the Mediterranean and South Asian legume whose seeds are essential to Indian and Ethiopian cooking. The color refers to fresh fenugreek leaves (called methi in Hindi): a soft, slightly cool deep yellow-green-blue with the matte finish of pinnate trifoliate leaf.
