Stripped Bottle

As a color modifier, stripped implies a clear-and-bared-and-unornamented quality, the crisp color of Cistercian-and-Bauhaus anti-ornamental stripped-down architectural interior. The traditional dark green of European wine and beer bottles — produced by adding iron oxide to the glass batch to filter UV that would damage the contents. The color refers to a Riesling or Burgundy bottle held against the light: a deep, slightly blue-shifted green with the optical translucency of glass.
