Ebon Hunter
Ebon Hunter (#044115) is a deep green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Etymology
A poetic shortening of ebony — used principally in nineteenth-century verse and Edgar Allan Poe (The Raven — ebon bird). As a color modifier, ebon is a literary register for deep black with slight warmth, distinct from the cooler inky and the harder jet. Carries the same weight as the wood it borrows from.
A deep, slightly muted green named for the wool jackets worn by British and American sportsmen for shooting and hunting since the late nineteenth century — chosen for camouflage in temperate woodland.
