Etched Akhdar
Etched Akhdar (#039568) is a deep teal with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (162°, 96%, 30%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. German ätzen, to etch — past-participle of etch. The Arabic word for green — used for the deep green of the Khidr (the Green One) in Islamic mysticism, the green domes of mosques, and the Jabal al-Akhdar (Green Mountain) of Oman. The color refers to a Saudi mosque-dome glaze: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the high gloss of fired ceramic glaze.
