Latin cordiālis, of-the-heart — adjectival suffix -al. Korogi color refers to a Velarifictorus mikado head-and-thorax in raking light: a saturated, slightly cool deep black with the glossy finish of melanin-and-chitin exoskeleton on the cricket's foreleg-stridulation organ.
