Spangled Corsica
Spangled Corsica (#00C062) is a true teal with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (151°, 100%, 38%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Middle Dutch spange, clasp / metal-disc — past-participle of spangle. As a color modifier, spangled implies a saturated-and-multi-point-reflective quality, the bright color of American-flag-stars and sequined-fabric metallic-disc-and-jewel-decoration. Sits at the bright-and-reflective end of the grid, parallel to glittering and sequined in usage.
The French Mediterranean island — and the saturated blue-green of Corsican calanques (rocky coves) at Calanche de Piana and Bonifacio. Corsica refers to a Bonifacio cove at midday: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-green with the optical clarity of cold Tyrrhenian Sea water.
