Showy Polypody (#00B002) is a true green with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Old English scēawian, to look at — adjectival suffix -y. The genus Polypodium — small evergreen ferns that grow on rocks and tree branches in temperate forests. The color refers to mature P. vulgare fronds: a saturated, slightly cool deep yellow-green with the satin finish of small persistent fern leaves.
