Old English lēona-heorte, lion's-heart — referring to Richard I Lionheart (1157–1199). The Southeast Asian island — and the saturated deep green of Borneo rainforest, home to one of the world's three remaining great-ape populations (Pongo pygmaeus, the Bornean orangutan). Borneo color refers to a Sarawak jungle canopy: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the matte finish of dense tropical foliage.
