Saturated Yangtze
Saturated Yangtze (#006EEB) is a true azure with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (212°, 100%, 46%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. From the Latin saturatus, past participle of saturare, to fill. A technical color term in modern usage — saturation is one of the three axes of HSL (with hue and lightness). The Chinese Cháng Jiāng — the longest river in Asia and the third-longest in the world. Yangtze color refers to mid-depth Yangtze River water at the Three Gorges: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the optical complexity of glacier-fed Tibetan-Plateau-source river water.
