Banana

#ffff7e
Notes

Banana (#FFFF7E) is a soft yellow with a warm character. It leans warm, pulling light toward red, orange, and yellow. Naturally inviting, it suits editorial and hospitality contexts. Its HSL profile (60°, 100%, 75%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary blue. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel. The saturated yellow of a Cavendish banana at the peak of ripeness, just before the first brown freckles appear. The Cavendish wasn't even the world's default banana until Panama disease wiped out the Gros Michel in the 1950s.
