Animated Bordo
Animated Bordo (#FEABF0) is a soft magenta with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin animātus, given-life — past-participle of animāre, derived from anima (soul, breath). As a color modifier, animated implies a saturated-and-life-given quality where the hue carries visual movement-and-vitality. Polish for Bordeaux — adopted into Polish color terminology as the name for deep wine purple, the dominant Polish-folk church-textile color of the Counter-Reformation period. Bordo color refers to a Polish-Catholic Lenten purple chasuble: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of multi-bath fermentation-and-iron-mordant wool. Slightly warmer than Russian purpurnyy.
