Spirited Tugtupite (#F897E5) is a soft magenta with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. An adjectival form of spirit — used as a color modifier since the seventeenth century for hues that read as animate and characterful. Rare beryllium-zinc silicate mineral first described from the Tugtup agtakôrfia (reindeer-blood place) deposit of Greenland in 1962. Tugtupite color refers to a freshly UV-exposed Tugtup agtakôrfia tugtupite cabochon: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the silky finish of tenebrescent beryllium-silicate. The Greenlandic name reflects Inuit reindeer-blood iconography.
