Watery Demantoid
Watery Demantoid (#EEFCDD) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (87°, 84%, 93%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Old English wæter, water — adjectival suffix -y. As a color modifier, watery implies a pale-and-diluted-and-translucent quality, the pale color of watercolor-and-Japanese-sumi heavy-water-dilution paint-and-ink-thinned color.
